TESTIMONY TUESDAY: Surprise!!!

Anyone who knows me well knows that I am always misplacing my phone.  It drives my husband crazy because I have missed many calls from him because I simply couldn't find it; but before you ask why I don't simply have the ringer on high, here's another thing you must know about me and this love-hate relationship I have with my phone: it's hardly ever charged. Yes I know I need help, but I am on the road to recovery and I have come a long way. Well one day I misplaced my phone and I just couldn't find it no matter where I looked and after a week, I had had enough (yes, back then I could go a whole week without having a phone). So one morning I woke up and simply asked God to help me find it and I went about my day. Around 11 am I saw my son, who had been crawling at the time, reach under the couch and pull out my phone.  I was surprised it was under there because I had looked there but God always has a way of surprising me with His goodness. I am thankful to God for the simple prayers that He answers.

TESTIMONY TUESDAY: The Smallest Of Things

My boys had gotten a few mosquito bites from playing outside and desperately needed some itch cream.  My oldest had been asking me to get the medicine for him and I told him I would the next time I went to the store.  As I was about to pay for my things at the store, I noticed on the counter, a box of hydrocortisone that someone had obviously left there and I was reminded that I needed some for the boys. I am beginning to see the hand of God over my life from the biggest to the smallest things and how our father reminds me of things that I need, even if it's just a box of itch cream.
How have you seen the Lord's hand at work in your life even in the smallest of things?

TESTIMONY TUESDAY: Directing My Steps

I had gone into Walmart looking for a gift for a sweet little girl.  As I walked the aisles, nothing seemed to catch my eye, so I strolled along, letting my boys look at what they wanted.  As they looked at the toys, I turned, and in the aisle was a gift that I had been wanting to buy her for a few months but couldn't.  I walked over to it and I knew it was perfect, but there was a problem; it came in a heavy box and I had no cart to put it in. I could have left it and gone to get a cart, but it was the last one and I didn't want anyone else taking it. I could have carried it with me across the store to get a cart, but I was eight months pregnant and in no position to do such a thing.  So I simply asked the Lord what to do?  I turned around and to my right was an empty cart that was obviously not being used and I knew that the Lord had answered me.  What excited me the most is that I knew I had no intentions of going to Walmart, but someone, the day before, had given us a gift card and I had decided to go to that particular store because it was close to my doctor's office.  It was then that I understood that the Lord had been directing my steps all along. I love that our God knows our needs before we do and He makes provisions along the way.
