TESTIMONY TUESDAY: Like Father Like Son

When I was about 8 months or so pregnant with my first son, I woke up at about three in the morning to his kicks and flips and somersaults. He was usually a pretty calm baby, letting me sleep through the night, but this night, for some reason, he would not stop moving. After about five minutes of non stop jabs I told my husband just how much he was kicking me, so my husband simply laid his hand over my belly and whispered for him to stop moving and immediately he stopped kicking me. It's as if at that very moment he fell asleep; and I knew that this little boy was going to adore his father.  Till this very day, nine years later, this little man of mine is completely in love and devoted To his daddy.  

TESTIMONY TUESDAY: Surprise!!!

Anyone who knows me well knows that I am always misplacing my phone.  It drives my husband crazy because I have missed many calls from him because I simply couldn't find it; but before you ask why I don't simply have the ringer on high, here's another thing you must know about me and this love-hate relationship I have with my phone: it's hardly ever charged. Yes I know I need help, but I am on the road to recovery and I have come a long way. Well one day I misplaced my phone and I just couldn't find it no matter where I looked and after a week, I had had enough (yes, back then I could go a whole week without having a phone). So one morning I woke up and simply asked God to help me find it and I went about my day. Around 11 am I saw my son, who had been crawling at the time, reach under the couch and pull out my phone.  I was surprised it was under there because I had looked there but God always has a way of surprising me with His goodness. I am thankful to God for the simple prayers that He answers.
